Drama workshop held on 13th September 2012 @ Taxila Central College main hall for the drma Students in Grade 10. Mr. Sanath Wimlasiri who was the one of the best actor of Srilanka conducted this drama practical session.

“උරුමය සුරකිමු” “URUMAYA SURAKIMU”

           මොරගහහේන ලියෝ සමාජය මතුගම සහ බෝකුන්දර ලියෝ සමාජ සමග එක්ව ලියෝ දිස්ත්‍රික්කය වෙනුවෙන් සංවිධානය කරන් ලැබූ මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය 2010/12/12 දින පැවැත්විනි.පෙ.ව 9.00ට පන්සිල් ලබාගැනීමෙන් පසු ආරම්භ කල මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේදී  කඳු පාමුල සිට  ලෙන දක්වා ගමන් කරන මාර්ගය ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍ය මාර්ගය දෙපස රැස් කිරීම සිදු කරන ලදි.පෙ.ව 11.30ට පමණ මතුගම  ලියෝවරුන් අප සමග එක්විය.දහවල් 12.30ට පමණ දිවා ආහාරය ලබාගත් අප නැවතත් ප.ව 3.30 පමණ වනතුරු වැඩෙහි නිරත වීමු.සවස ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත ලියෝ දුමිඳු සහ තවත් ලියෝ වරුන් පිරිසක් අප සමග එක්විය.වැඩ අවසන් වීමෙන් පසු ගඟෙන් නා පිරිසිඳු වී නැවත අප නිවෙස් බලා පිටත් වූ අපට එදින සදා මතකයේ රැඳෙන දිනයක් විය.

The Project “URUMAYA SURAKIMU” was organized by the Leo club of Moragahahena with Leo club of Mathugama and Leo club of Bokundara. This project organized on behalf of the Leo district council 306 A2. IPDP Leo Dumindu Jayakody participated as the Chief Guest of this service project. Leo club of Moragahahena hired a bus to travel Pahiyangala. On our way to Pahiyangala the Leos of Bokundara joined with us and according our schedule we started the project at 9.00 o’clock.

First we went to Pahiyangala cave, the Lord Buddha shrine built inside the cave. First of all we observe the “pansil”. Then we started to sharing the building materials from up to down. Meanwhile Mathugama Leos joined with us. At 11.30 a.m. we got a little break. Lion Ajitha aunty & Latha aunty helped to prepare our lunch. After the lunch we started our service & we used covering bags to shearing building materials from up to down. It was so hard move but it was help to save our time.

In the evening Leo Dumindu Jayakody(IPDP), District Council officers and visiting Leos joined with us. Lion club of Moragahahena guided this project A-Z. Finally we specially thank Lion Widyakeerthi Dissanayaka, the President of Lions club of Moragahahena and M.Jayantha, Leo advisor for helping to success this great project.    

           

“පිවිතුරු රෝහල” “PIVITHURU ROHALA”

     

     ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ ශිෂ්‍යාවක වන ලියෝ සකුන්තලා විසින් ඔවුන් විසින් සිදුකරන කණ්ඩායම් ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා සහාය ලබා දෙන ලෙස අප මාසික රැස්වීමේදී කරනු ලැබූ ඉල්ලීමට අනුව පසුගිය දෙසැම්බර් මස 5වන දින පාදුක්ක රෝහලේ වැඩිහිටි සායන වාට්ටුවේ තීන්ත ආලේප කිරීම අප විසින් සිදු කරන ලදි.විශ්ව විද්‍යාලීය සිසුන් කිහිප දෙනෙක්ද එම අවස්ථාව සඳහා අප සමග එක් විය.

      

              In our November monthly meeting Leo Sakunthala (Student of University of Sri Jayewardhanepura) requested a help for repairing the Elders Clinic Ward of Padukka hospital as their group project. On that meeting we decided to do the repainting of the ward on 05th December 2010.On that day we went to the hospital & cleaned the surrounding before painting. Few days before students of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura have repaired the damages of the ward. So after that we started the painting of the ward. Few Students of University of Sri Jayewardanepura joined with us on that day.When we end our work at about 3.00pm. It was quite beautiful to see after repainting.Chief Doctor & the staff of the hospital praised this great job and it became to remain in our minds.
